The sky cloaked in darkness as the rain poured down. The cool breeze swept through the air, and the sound of raindrops tapping against the windows created a soothing melody, blending perfectly. However, none of these seemed to calm Isabelle.
It's been around 2 hours since they've been driving, and neither of them said a word. Her head rested on the window as she kept staring at the rain.
Suddenly, something caught her eye - a road sign indicating 'No Entry' Alexander ignored it and continued driving in that direction.
She wanted to speak, but her throat hurt from crying for too long. She looked out again, and her heart skipped a beat when she realized they had entered a forest area.
He was not taking her home, and this mere thought made her shiver. She glanced at Alexander, who was focused on driving. The weather was bad, and it was already late.
James was in the hospital, while her grandmother was alone at home, waiting for her. No, she can't let that happen.
She thought to call her but heart stopped when she realized that she doesn't have her phone. It was in her bag in the taxi and she forgot about it when Alexander arrived with his men.
There's no other other way except, talking to him. Gathering her courage, she looked at him "W-where are you taking me?" Isabelle asked, her words stuttering.
Alexander ignored her and kept driving. He didn't even glanced at her.
"Tell me, where are you taking me?" She asked again but got no response from him.
Isabelle's eyes stung with tears "P-p-please, my n-nana is w-waiting for m-me at h-home" She spoke, but again received no response.
"I-i-i swear, I-i-it w-won't happen a-again"
Alexander kept quiet but his silence increased Isabelle's terror. She look down and started sobbing, all of this was too hard for the poor soul take.
A gasp left her lips, when the car stopped abruptly. Alexander faced her, and noticed her red teary eyes, filled with fear and pain.
He sighed and cupped her face "You should have thought about that before trying to leave me" He spoke as he wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
He started driving again. Isabelle looked away, her eyes blurry with tears. She knew they were somewhere deep in the forest, and she doesn't even remember the way.
It's almost evening and the forest seemed to grow darker.
Half an hour later, the car came to a sudden halt, enveloped by an unsettling silence. Isabelle's eyes widened as she gazed ahead. There stood a massive, imposing gate before them.
The gate's intricate patterns and ornate archway seemed to whisper darkness and secrets, settling a fear.
With a slow creak, the gate opened, its automatic mechanism a stark contrast to the eerie stillness.
Isabelle's anxiety spiked as she saw the pathway that wound through the trees. Her mind racing with foreboding and she prayed that it wouldn't come true but as the trees gave way to a sprawling clearing, her heart sank.
Before her stood a mansion, looming over her. It's grandeur beauty and breathtaking proportions, filled her heart with dread.
She glanced at Alexander, but flinched, finding him already looking at her. His face was expressionless, but she knew he wasn't calm.
He came out of the car and went to her side. He opened the door "You will have enough time to admire this. But first, let's go inside"
He take her out of the car and gave his car keys to the guard.
Isabelle flinched, she didn't noticed him standing there but he paid no attention to them and left after bowing his head. She looked around, the mansion was in the middle of the forest, it will be way too hard for anyone to locate it.
"It will be more tempting inside"
Isabelle looked at Alexander, he knew that she's scared and his mocking words seemed to increased her fear more. He chuckled at her
He chuckled at her expression and started dragging her inside, his grip gentle yet firm. Isabelle didn't struggle, knowing she couldn't run away. There's no way out.
She looked ahead and saw a maid standing at the doorway "Welcome, sir, mam" she bowed.
Alexander entered inside and looked around. When he learned that Isabelle ran away, he decided to take her away, as a punishment. When he learned that she's in this city, he thought to take her here.
"Get our dinner ready"
"OK sir" The maid said and left, probably to the kitchen.
He looked back and saw Isabelle looking around the living room, like a lost child. She wasn't astonished, she was scared. He looked at her.
"You must be hungry. Take a shower first. Come on"
Alexander said and started walking towards the stairs but stopped when he didn't heard anything. He looked back and saw Isabelle stood still, gazing at him with a fearful expression.
"W-What is t-this place? W-why did you bring me h-here?" She stammered.
Alexander gave her a smile but it didn't felt warm or comforting "It's my mansion. My favorite one, so I decided to bring you here. Understood" he said.
Isabelle look down, he was mocking her, playing with her fear like a monster and the worst part is that she couldn't fight against him. She knows it's not worth it.
"I-i don't w-wana be here"
Alexander's smile didn't faltered, but instead it turns more mocking, he walk towards her and bend down, staring at her in the eyes. He tucked her hairs behind her ears.
"Do you really think you are in a position to make a decision, babygirl?" He asked, faking a confused look before he gripped her wrist and pulled her closer.
"P-please"
"I think you are mistaking my silence in your favoring. Do I need to clear it?"
Isabelle trembled, her lips quivering, the warmness around her fading with each passing moment. Tears filled her eyes, with the thoughts of being trapped here, alone with him. Her grandmother being worried for her, her uncle in the hospital.
Alexander observed her, he could see the fear and pain in her eyes but said nothing. He turned around and started dragging her upstairs to his bedroom.
He opened the door and walked inside. Isabelle's eyes widened as Alexander locked the door, the sound of the latch clicking into place echoing through the room.
She took a step back, her heart racing, as he turned to face her. She kept moving backward when suddenly she collided with the bed and fell onto the mattress. She quickly sat up, but flinched, finding him standing in front of her.
His eyes gleamed with an unnerving intensity, a slow smile spreading across his face as her fear turned to panic.
"I have been waiting for this moment for a long time" Alexander spoke, and moved closer to her, he pressed his knee on her side, trapping her "To check the durability of this mattress. I think its good"
He moved back and walked towards the closet, taking out a t-shirt and trousers. He glanced at her and entered inside the bathroom.
Isabelle clutched the mattress, her knuckles white with tension, as the sound of running water echoed through the room. Fear gripped her. It felt like a cruel joke, a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. She was desperate to escape, she yearned to leave everything behind especially Alexandar.
Her thoughts returned to her grandmother. She must be worried sick about her. She wanted to hear her soothing voice, to hide in her arms that made her feel safe and protected from. She wanted to tell about everything that happened with her.
She stood up, her gaze locked onto the door, a hope of freedom ignited within her. She could do it, she had to do it. She wouldn't let him win, not without a fight.
She walk towards the door and unlocked it. Her heart swelled with hope. She grasped the door handle, her hand closing around it like a lifeline. As she was about to turn it, a low voice spoke freezing her in place.
"Leaving so soon, babygirl?" Isabelle quickly turned around. Alexander was standing there, leaning against the wall, staring at her "I hadn't realized that our little discussion was over"
Isabelle's legs trembled beneath her. He looked at her, his face expressionless but she failed to notice the intensity behind his words. His eyes held the anger.ย
She couldn't bear it anymore. Summoning her every last shred of courage, she flung open the door and sprinted down the stairs. Her feet pounding the marble steps in a frantic bid for freedom and fear.
As she reached the downstairs. The maids who were busy working stood still, but no one looked at her. As if she had become invisible. The silence was oppressive, heavy with unspoken menace.
Isabelle ignored them and rushed towards the main door, a spark of hope igniting within her. She opened the door and stepped out to run, a small smile of triumph spread across her face.
However, her steps halted when a massive, imposing figure stood in front of her, his hand shooting out to block her path. It was a guard.
"You can't go out, mam"
He spoke, His voice was a low, robotic growl.
Isabelle flinched and stepped aside, she looked around trying to find a way to escape but her eyes widened in horror as she took in the sight of ten guards standing at attention, their faces expressionless, their eyes cold and unyielding.
No one was looking directly at her, but their eyes and movements conveyed a clear message- she wasn't going anywhere. The guard in front of her stood still, but his body angled slightly, blocking her path.
"I must say, I'm impressed with your bravery" Alexander spoke, his voice laced with amusement, as he stepped out.
With a subtle nod, he signaled the guards to leave, and they obediently retreated after bowing, leaving them alone.
Isabelle's heart pounded in her chest, her breath catching in her throat as fear gripped her like a vice. She looked down, her spirit crushed by the overwhelming sense of hopelessness that threatened to consume her.
She flinched as Alexander draped his jacket around her shoulders, the warmth sent chills down her spine "But do you really think it's worth it?"
Isabelle didn't look up, neither she replied to his mocking questions. He was enjoying it, and she didn't wanted to give him the satisfaction he craved.
But she didn't knew that this was a mere glimpse of his ruthlessness.
"Let's eat. I'm hungry" Alexander said, his voice dripping with anticipation, as he pulled her inside again. The door slammed shut behind them, the sound echoing through the room like a prison gate closing.
An indirect warning that, she was trapped, and he would ensure that it stayed that way.
Alexander dragged Isabelle towards the dining table, his grip firm but not harsh. He forced her into a chair, before settling beside her. As the maids moved to serve, Alexander raised a hand.
"Eat up," he said, as he served Isabelle and himself "You need energy after all your...hard work"
Isabelle, however, her appetite long gone, replaced by a sense of dread. Her eyes fixed on the food, but her mind recoiled at the thought of eating, her stomach twisted into knots.
Isabelle's heart pounded in her chest, her breath catching in her throat. The realization dawned on her that she was trapped, a prisoner in a gilded cage.
"Eat up, babygirl. You think you might not need strength but who knows. We have a long night ahead of us" Alexander smriked, his fingers tracing her bare neck.
Isabelle's eyes widened. His words and touch sent shivers down her spine. She tried to move back but he gripped her arm, keeping her close.
"Don't push your luck, mia bella. My amusement has worn thin. You wouldn't find my way of entertainment enjoyable"
Isabelle didn't looked up, she grabbed the fork and started eating. Her fingers trembling with fear. Alexander smiled and patted her head.
After what felt like an eternity, the dinner was done. The maids grabbed the dishes and went to kitchen. They saw everything, but no one said a word.
Alexander holds Isabelle's hand and dragged her upstairs again. Isabelle's heart thumped in her chest as they enertered inside the bedroom again and he locked the door.
Isabelle stepped back, creating a distance between them as if trying to escape the intensity of his gaze.
Alexander's eyes roamed her face, drinking in every feature, from the fear-drenched eyes to the trembling lips. His gaze moving down, tracing the delicate curve of her neck, the swell of her breasts, and the narrow span of her waist. It was as if he was looking at her for the first time, his gaze both mesmerizing and terrifying.
Isabelle stumbled backward, her voice barely audible "W-what are you doing here?" The tremble in her voice was unmistakable, a testament to the fear that gripped her heart.
Alexander's smirk was a slow, cruel unfolding of his lips. He reached behind his head, grasped the collar of his T-shirt, and pulled it off. His eyes never left Isabelle's face, his gaze burning with an unnerving intensity as he revealed his chiseled torso.
"Showing you my way of entertainment that will ensure you never forget the lessons of today and the consequences of crossing me"
